1st Staff Traınıng of GET CLOSER project

 1st Staff Training of GET CLOSER project "Usage of Creative Handicrafts For Social Inclusion of Vulnerable Youth " held in İzmit, Turkey between 
10-14 May 2022. 

 The staff training hosted 3 participants from each organization, consisting of youth workers, educators, and trainers, with 15 participants total. The training event has provided an artistic and intercultural space for critical reflection and exploration of recent developments in the field of youth work in the framework of empowerment of young people in the perspective of creative handicraft initiatives. Participants were introduced to new learning tools about how to prevent young people after disasters through cultural and art activities and promote effective public strategies after natural disasters. As a result of the staff training, participants improved their knowledge, skills, and competencies in the integration of creative handicraft art in their youth work. They practiced how to make disaster plans in their organizations in urgent situations such as earthquakes, pandemics, and others.
